We use the lodge as our primary facility to house our customers assuring they have
a comfortable bed, bathroom facilities and shower located in the village of Amalia,
at the Ski Rio Resort; just minutes away from the hunting areas on the Rio Costilla
hunts. The lodge is a rustic southwestern facility with up to 6 separate rooms,
large kitchen and dining facility. Rooms at the lodge maintain two twin beds which
accommodate 2 hunters. There is an additional cost for single occupancy requests.
Non hunters can be accommodated for an extra charge.
Meals begin early morning with a continental breakfast including coffee, donuts,
croissants or pastries, with a large breakfast served mid-day upon return from the
morning excursion. Upon arrival from the evening hunt a hardy dinner is prepared
by our chef. Food, refreshments and snacks are held in our kitchen area and open
to our clients at all times during the hunt. Hunters will be contacted prior to
their hunt so as to discuss the types of meals preferred and/or any food constraints.
Special arrangements can be made in advance. We want you prepared for your hunt
so as to receive the best opportunity to harvest a trophy animal.
Antelope hunters will be lodged in local motels/hotels in Springer, Clayton or Logan
NM, (dependant on ranch hunted and booked) with meals provided at local restaurants.
Logan trophy mule deer hunters are also lodged in a modern hotel facility in Logan,
NM with meals also served at local restaurants.
We require a 50% deposit to book your adventure with Ute Creek Outfitters. The deposit
for booking a hunt is transferable only from one hunter to another within the same
hunting season originally booked. Balances are due 30 days prior to the booked hunt.
Deposits are non-refundable.
* The success of our hunts is dependant upon the client's physical capabilities.
Elk and mule deer hunts are very physically challenging and may require long walks
in high elevation and rough terrain. We can provide physically limited clients opportunities
to sit on stand or utilize ground blinds, but this limits opportunities at harvests.
